The name “Mukasa” carries a rich tapestry of cultural significance and history. Found predominantly in regions of East Africa, particularly within Uganda. Originally from the Baganda tribe in Uganda. In the Luganda language, Mukasa is derived from the title given to one of the ancient spirits or deities in the Baganda culture. Mukasa, in this context, was revered as the god of the lake, primarily Lake Victoria. The deity Mukasa was believed to be benevolent, offering protection to fishermen and ensuring the abundance of fish, which was a crucial resource for the community.
The Mukasa hair on the travel bag series is made from tanned cow skin and some aniline leather for the accents.
